After watching True Detective I have become obsessed with dark philosophical fiction. Recently read No longer Human and want to get deeper into nihilism in storied form.

This seems rather interesting, do you have any other suggestions, Eric?

I, too, have always been fascinated with similar topics. The best readings are the ones that challenge my established ideals :)

I didn't get many suggestions on the topic but off the top of my head. I recently read The Stranger by Albert Camus and Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre. Both deal with similar topics of alienation and disdain for reality as it is known.
