He is the worst fiction character in history
His overly possessive ness (nosity?) might play a factor in his mental instability, or be because of it, no?What I mean is, the reason he's overly possessive may be because in his mind, she's going to run away from him, leading to a mental instability (?)

Well, i think he IS mentally unstable. He thinks Bella is in danger EVERYWHERE, thus, he has paranoia, which constitutes as mental disability does it not? He is also clearly paranoid of losing Bella and thus, he gives her EVERYTHING she wants. Adding on his mental disability, he is completely retarded and is a complete creep by,-stalking and watching Bella EVERYWHERE
-staying a virgin for a hundred years whereas he (says) he has "never felt that way with anyone else" which is complete crap since there are a million brainless girls like Bella out there who are as weak and moronic like her by falling on their faces for him
-saying completely cliché lines (plus completely crappy ones) like, "And so the Lion(aka predator) fell in love with the lamb(the food/victim)" which is just sooo cliché i could roll my eyes for a century
-he had sex with Bella even though he (says he)could kill her with just one wrong move
-he has really really really bad mood swings at the most stupid times
and most of all...
he fell in (cough) "love" (cough) with Bella.
