Vincenzo Spiniello I am going to talk about climax because in this book Sharon Creech uses a lot of climax in this book. When Sal is driving all the way across the country to see her mom. Sharon Creech builds up to that moment which makes the reader never want to stop reading about what is going to happen next. I thought that this book was really deep and sad at the end, but I like the way Sharon Creech uses Climax. Comment below.

Ryan.Phelan I think the climax is when she finally finds out that her mother is dead and she has been searching for nothing the whole time. What do you think the climax is exactly?

Vincenzo Spiniello I was going to say that the climax was when her mother was dead, but I didn't know for sure. Another part of the story that has climax in it was like when did you know when she was going to reach her destination. The author was building up to that moment. I thought the author used that very well. That is what I think the climax is.

Ryan.Phelan I agree that when she was going to reach her destination was a big problem, but I don't think it is a climax. I think the most important climax in the book is when she reaches her destination, and is devastated that her mom is dead. Without this climax, Sal's character would not have been revealed throughly. I think that this climax revealed how she is sometimes tough, but she is also sensitive and gets disappointed and upset.

Vincenzo Spiniello I agree with what you said about how the climax is when she reaches he destination and is really upset that her mom is dead. I think that the climax is both. When she is in the car waiting and waiting to reach her destination, Sharon Creech is building suspense. She waits until the end of the book to say that Sal makes it. She keeps the reader into the book, the reader waits and waits until she sees he mom.

Ryan.Phelan There can only be one climax because the climax is the biggest problem in the story

Sophia Sal already knows that her mother is dead she is just trying to accept it so in my opinion the climax is when she finally accepts it when she sees her grave
