Rebecca I think Im at the climax of this book, Im almost done and Day is about to start the plan to recruit the people of the Republic to fight the Colonies. He has to choose between siding with the colonies or the republic.

Do you think this is the Climax?

Yu-Chen Lung I forget whether this happens in this book, but I think the climax in this series is when The Patriots are battling with the Republic. Also, I think an emotional conflict is when Day and June are sort of separated. I do also think that your idea is a climax.

Rebecca That's a good point Yu-Chen, but I always thought of the climax as the part of the book where the character makes a big decision that will effect him/her and many others. So, although your ideas about what the climax is are good, I still think this is the main climax and the fight between the colonies+patriots/republic are mini climaxes on the way to the resolution, and they are the effect of the choice Day made at what I think to be the climax.

Please tell me if this is incorrect though.

Yu-Chen Lung Okay, if the climax is decision-based then probably that is the best choice. My idea of a climax is when there is the most action or external conflict. That kind of stuff. I don't know if yours is the main climax though. I fell like there more than one main climax. It just depends on the type.

Kassie Perkins The climax is the point when you are biting your nails because you don't know what will happen next so you want to keep reading. Yu-Chen you were right.
