This was the most different kind of book that I have ever read before. It was very hard to read, because I am not a person to read horror books for enjoyment. There were many episodes of disturbance in this book, but disregarding that, the book was very well written and the language it consisted of was very beautiful and poetic. I think that is what I enjoyed the most out of this book. In spite of the horror that the book brought, it was still beautifully written. The theme that I was able to bring out of this book was loyalty. The boy was loyal to his family and the monstrumologist, even though he could have walked away and not have been a part of the process. I liked this book, because it expanded my types of reading, but I probably would not read it again, because of the disturbing story line.
