Not having seen your projected book list perhaps a Brands book about U.S. Grant Or Teddy Roosevelt would ace these 2 presidents. Not sure if they are on audio, though.

You can't go wrong with David McCullough or HW Brands.
Jackson, Wilson, both Roosevelts, Truman and so on. I've read 50+ books written by or about US Presidents.
