Well the ones I bought online I just went to each site and looked at my previous orders to get the date. The books I got as gifts have the date in them. The first 5 I bought so recently that I just remembered. But typically I don't keep track.
Finished my first book for challenge---Henrietta's War: News from the Home Front 1939-1942. I read most of it on an airplane yesterday and then the last little bit before work this morning.
Finished the 2nd book: Henrietta Sees It Through: More News from the Home Front 1942-1945, which is the sequel to the above. Both were adorable reads!
Finished my 3rd book: Personal History. It's the autobiography of the first female publisher of the Washington Post, Katharine Graham. At one point, I wanted to be a newspaper reporter, so I found it an engaging read.
Finished The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay today. It was well-written, though I did get bogged down in vocabulary and allusions at times.
Finished The Library of Unrequited Love on Friday night. It only took 2 hours to read, and yet it's been on my TBR since 2014!!

I know right? Once I got it done I couldn't believe I'd been putting it off for so long. But it's so short that I'll probably reread it whenever I need a pick-me-up book because it's a sweet story.
I finished Philomena: A Mother, Her Son, and a Fifty-Year Search last night!I also decided to count Through Painted Deserts: Light, God, and Beauty on the Open Road, even though it wasn't on my original list, because it meets the challenge requirements.
Thus, I've read 9 books! Yea!
I haven't updated in ages because I haven't read any owned books from before 2016. I've been reading a lot of my owned books, but all of them have been acquired this year.I have read 37 books so far this year:
9 were physical books owned pre-2016 (see above)
12 were physical books I got in 2016
1 was a physical book borrowed from a friend
7 were owned ebooks acquired pre-2016 or in 2016 (I don't count ebooks on my mountain because I'm trying to lower my physical book stack. Having a bunch of unread ebooks on your Kindle doesn't take up room--having a bunch of unread physical books makes one's bookshelves crammed full!)
8 were physical books or ebooks from the library
But I am reading a book I got in 2015 right now and I'm going to visit my parents this weekend and will pick up some more pre-2016 physical books from my bookshelves there. So there will be some updates to my mountain soon!
Wooo! Book 10 done! Bring Me a Unicorn: Diaries and Letters of Anne Morrow Lindbergh, 1922-1928 was a book my Mom passed on to me last year and I finally got to it! Only 2 left and I should get both of them done soon!
Wooooo I FINALLY made it to the top of Pike's Peak!! Kept getting distracted by new books/library books!I guess I will keep reading and see if I make it to Mount Blanc.
I actually completed another owned book in August, but forgot to post it: The Joyful Christian. So 14 books owned pre-2016 read so far this year. I've got at least 1 more on my 2016 reading list and then I'm planning to read the 7 Chronicles of Narnia in January to knock those off my owned TBR too.
Bev wrote: "You've done great!"Thanks Bev! I hope to get at least one more owned pre-2016 book done this year.
Started on my boxset of the Chronicles of Narnia--I've only ever read book 1: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. So now I aim to read the rest before the end of 2016, starting with Prince Caspian!
I plan to finish: Almost to Eden, Why This Jubilee?: Advent Reflections on Songs of the Season, and Razing Hell: Rethinking Everything You've Been Taught about God's Wrath and Judgment in December. That will bring my total up to 19 books!
Well, I'm not going to get to the other two, but I did finish Why This Jubilee?: Advent Reflections on Songs of the Season today, bringing my overall 2016 total to 17! See you guys in 2017.
