Welcome! To keep track of your progress, whenever you read something new, choose the "edit" option and add the book to the appropriate category. Happy reading!
I have read three books so far this year"The Painter's Daughter by Julie Klassen (a book set in Europe)
"Star Wars: The Force Awakes by Alan Dean Foster, New York Times best seller
"There Will Come a Time, by Carrie Acros (Blue Cover)
Rosemary wrote: "I just finished "The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto" by Mitch Albom and I loved it."This one will probably be one of my few favorites of the year. I loved it too!
Just read HEAVEN IS HERE; AN INCREDIBLE STORY OF HOPE, TRIUMPH, AND EVERYDAY JOY by Stephanie Nielson. Stephanie is an awesome person!
For the book under 150 pages I picked "The Husband Maneuver" by Karen Witemeyer. It was a fun story about dime novel hero Dead-eye Dan and real live hero Daniel Barrett.
I finished a couple of more books recently. One book was "Winter" by Marissa Meyer. It completes the "Cinder" series. I enjoyed "Cinder" the best but other books (Scarlet, Cress, Fairest and Winter) were also excellent. The other book I read was "My Name is Lucy Barton" by Elizabeth Stout. It has been on the NY Times best sellers for awhile and I saw it at the bookstore when I went in the other day. I also recommended on another list I belong to so I was looking forward to reading it. I was somewhat disappointed however. Although I didn't dislike it I really didn't like it that much either. The best part about was when her mom came to visit her in the hospital.
i just finished "Keep Moving" by Dick Van Dyke. Dick Van Dyke has always been one of my favorite actors. It was fun to read this autobiography. I didn't agree with everything he had to say but it was good to hear his opinion. I know for myself and for my mom (who is 89 but keeps very young) it is very important to keep your mind and body active.
