Jess (jesmy777) Okay, we have one book already set for January - I was thinking perhaps we pick a longer book and do it over January and February.

Leave your ideas and suggestions below.

Shannon Moore (shananigans1988) | 4 comments Have you guys read I'll Meet You there by Heather Demetrios?

message 3: by Heather (new)

Heather (dokushoka) Has HDU been recommended before?

message 4: by Knobby (new)

Knobby (knobbyknees) | 48 comments Shannon, I read it last month and loved it! Wasn't expecting to, either.

I'd be down to read HDU since it's ~one of our own~.

Do we have a theme or it's free-4-all?

message 6: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Moore (shananigans1988) | 4 comments Oh cool. Its in my book queue. Im actually excited to read it.

message 7: by Jess (new)

Jess (jesmy777) No theme, unless you guys pick one. I'm going to have to look into how others run their groups, so I feel a little more organized... I'd like to have theme months, but meh, I usually lose momentum.

How about all parts of the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness? Or Welcome to Night Vale, the novel. I'm brain-fried after this year. I can hardly think of anything.

I'm not sure either. I think it is. He's in a thousand groups and sent out a ton of friend requests. Nope.

I reported it as Spam and will let Goodreads do the rest.

Jamie (iquitelikebooks) | 54 comments I've really been wanting to read This is Your Life, Harriet Chance! (Sorry can't link as I'm on mobile). What about China Rich Girlfriend? I think everyone enjoyed CRA, right? I just finished Everything I Never Told You and it was really good

I'm a bit of a nerd so I'm also going to recommend 1776 by David McCullough and Ron Chernow's biography Hamilton.

message 14: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Moore (shananigans1988) | 4 comments I really want to read Hamilton.

message 15: by Emy (new)

Emy (emy0lee) | 92 comments My resolution for 2016 is to have time to do more than just work and sleep, .and I'm hoping to be able to be active in this club once more. :)
Nothing to suggest right now, but I'd also be quite keen on reading the Chaos Walking series.

message 16: by Knobby (new)

Knobby (knobbyknees) | 48 comments My husband just got Hamilton for Christmas and it looks SUPER dense. Not saying that everyone here wouldn't read something dense, but it's like intimidatingly dense. 800+ pages. I think it'd be best to read that at one's own pace... just my 2¢.

It's been nominated so many times, I decided to just make it easier on myself and the other mods by setting it for January.

I think I have it on my Kindle... But I can't get my Kindle to turn on. Boo.

Oh cool! After I finish this YA book I'm reading I'll start that one (if I can find a copy in Spanish, that's it).
