Hi. I have been dreamcasting characters from book 3 on, and I felt like sharing my choices, and wondered who other people thought would be good in upcoming roles. (This thread may eventually contain spoilers for all 8 books.)

Emerald Fennell is my choice as Brianna Randall. She's only around 5'8" tall, I think, but is one of those people who just seems tall. She really has the personality to be Brianna. She's 23 years old.
I think Tom Felton would make a pretty impressive Lord John Grey. He's fairly short, and has the round face and wide blue eyes associated with Lord John and is a very skilled actor. He's twenty-eight years old, but age hasn't much affected casting thus far on the show, with 35-year-old Sam playing a 22-year-old Jamie.
Hi silverblades - we are keeping the Outlander on Starz folder for specific episodes/casting; no dream casting - but I've moved your thread to the characters section

She is in seasons 4 and 5 of the BBC/PBS show Call the Midwife.
I like Eddie Redmayne for the part. He has a pretty face and somewhat delicate bones that I imagined Lord John having. I saw him in Songbird on PBS and his acting was excellent.

i kind of like that all the people chosen thus far are unknowns - I keep thinking back to the batman and robin with schwargenegger as the baddie - and even though he had a smaller role, his name was plastered all over the posters because it was him...disappointing

I love how they've cast several actors who've had one or two minor film roles or been on a BBC show. I recognized several cast members from there guest starring roles in other things.

Yes, but I chose for a dream Lord John, not an available one. But I'm sure the casting director will choose a suitable actor. He's batting a 100 so far.
