Reads With Friends discussion

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Okay, I finished the book yesterday and watched the movie last night. We are supposed to assume that Liesel and Max end up together right????????? Because that's what I was imagining. I had a few ups and downs with the book and its plot but the last 30% of the book was amazing and I ended up giving it 4.75 stars.

I just joined and missed the scheduled readings but I did read the Book Thief last year. I would give it 5 stars. I loved it. I also assumed that Max and Liesel end up together, very sweet. I loved that it was narrated by death, that was such an interesting way to do it. I discussed with book with 2 friends after we all read it and they both hated the book! Which I cannot fathom! They kept trying to explain to me why they did not like it and I never got it. I thought is was breathtaking and amazing.

I loved the book and rated it 5 stars. I thought the concept of it being narrated by death was amazing. I also loved reading about the friendship between Liesel and Rudy.

I had a hard time reading the book I just didn't like the pacing. It was one of the few books to movies where I liked the movie better.

@Lauren: I really enjoyed the movie as well. It "filled out" the story and brought it to life for me. It was very well done.
