Could it be Unearthly by Cynthia Hand? This was a trilogy with Angels and half and quarter Angels, demons, etc.

This reminds me of the story Seola Seola, also known as Angels and Women. The war would be a referrence to armageddon. It is an account - supposedly a biographical account dictated to the author by a demon - of the pre-flood days when angels were turned on by the daughters of men. The demon is seeking understanding and redemption by giving his account.

It can also refer to the story I am seeking... help! help! help! ... which is a pre-Fall story of Lucifer as the hero. It, too, is supposedly a true story. See more at my search link here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

This remind me of a story in which the battle of Armageddon is being fought. On one side--Satan's demons. On the human side, man sent robots.
In the end, the robots win. God comes down from heaven and scoops up all the robots to take THEM to paradise.
