I'm listening to TED radio hour's podcast episode "shifting time". lots of mention of past, present, future.

thought of the idea of a legacy and how David Smith was stuck on the idea of "make a name for yourself" as meaning "be famous, live forever"

what if he had focused more on "make your name mean something"... would he have lived a happier life?

getting philosophical here...
