Autumn (autumnmemory80) Once you and your Book Pal have selected and read your book, post what you thought of the book on this thread. Partners are listed in this thread below. Can't wait to hear about your book choices!

You can go to the original thread Book Pals and click on your partner to see their books and friend them.

** Just a Tip - I like to give my partner at least three books to choose from with one being my top choice. That way they have some freedom as well.

★ ★ IF you have made an attempt to contact your partner with no response, please private message me letting me know so I can work on getting you a new partner for the month. Please give it at least 7 days before posting a comment as not all of our members log in every day. THANK YOU!

message 17: by Autumn (new)

Autumn (autumnmemory80) Kerry now has just one pal, she accidently signed up twice, and while lots of people do, I usually try and weed those out. Every once in a while one slips through. I took care of Christine! So now Kerry just has one partner! Everyone enjoy!

Hi, Ray. Are you still seeking a partner for January Books Pals? I have not yet participated in BookPals, and would be glad to give it a go with you this month.

Kirsten (kmcripn) Just finished my book pals book: The Sound of Glass by Karen White The Sound of Glass by Karen White.

This book drove me to my Kleenex box. I estimate it as 6-12 kleenex book. I had the audiobook and the different narrators are exceptional.

La Tonya Jordan | 55 comments I read the The Watchman (Elvis Cole, #11; Joe Pike, #1) by Robert Crais . My review is below:

Suspense, excitement, and thrilling is how I would describe Joe Pike. Joe Pike is an ex-Marine , ex-cop, and ex-mercenary who was hired on contract to protect Larkin Conner Barkley who has been targeted for death for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. So, it seems.

Joe Pike is a man of very few words. But, his connections lead to protecting Larkin and revealing secrets many people are trying to hide. I enjoyed all the action packed scenes in this book. I felt like I was at the movies on how well detailed the action scenes were described. The book kept you in suspense because you didn't know who to trust until the end. A good read.

Quote:
"Cut these things off. Bring her back, Pike. We can protect her." Pike opened the door. "You're tied to a steering wheel. You can't even protect yourself." Pike got out with the keys and the badge.

La Tonya Jordan | 55 comments Lee Johnson review of the The Bone Collector (Lincoln Rhyme, #1) by Jeffery Deaver

My review on The Bone Collector

It took me a few chapters to get into, not sure if it was the book or me.

I love Amelia Sachs, she just says it as it is. Lincoln, I believe there is more to him than we see in the first book but he makes me want to read the next.

I was unsure about the pretrial of the unsub, but I did enjoy how the crime scenes were set up and the was they were worked.

I am looking forward to the next in the series. I will recommend this to my friends.

Thank you

The book was a good read. I gave it a solid 4 stars. While not the usual Thriller that I read, the suspense was enough to hold the readers attention till the end.

Kirsten - It was a real pleasure reading the book with you, the discussion was just right and your insights in the characters were just about perfect.
