I am in part four, which in my version I think is volume two . . .

We are is post war "Peace" now. And I put peace in quotes because things are not necessarily so peaceful off the battlefield.

I am really enjoying War and Peace - it has been much more readable than I expected. I figured I might be slogging through it. But, I am about 1/3 of the way through and it is pretty good. I feel like I am reading Russian Downton Abbey.

Freemasonry is suddenly a very big part of the plot. I cannot tell, though, if Tolstoy is promoting it or mocking it . . .

I think I am still in volume 2 . . .

Kind of a "Peace" lull in the story right now . . .
