I guess I've written the "rules" somewhat humorlessly. I hope you enjoy your time here, share your insights, questions, musings, wit, intelligence ... and beauty.

Welcome to you new members! I'm hoping everyone's contributions can make this a "come-to" place for what people know and feel about FSF and his work. Feel free to post to whatever interests you or create or ask for a new thread, please? Thanks much!

Edison just joined us. I hope we hear from him. While I'm up to my earlobes in other books, I'd love to hear about other books by FSF, beyond The Great Gatsby. There was so much more to the man. We are living in a culture, currently, in which one can be adjudged immediately right or immediately wrong, and I would hope to rise above that here. (Of course, some of us are just automatically correct, and cannot be engaged in discussion, but when Vladimir Nabokov joins, we'll deal with that issue.) (I love him, am nonetheless grateful not to have lived in his shadow, but I'm no Vera!!)

Welcome, Edison.
