LizH (liz_h) | 955 comments Decided to start 2016 with some light romance, so The Irish Cottage and The London Flat were the 2 I just finished and will start The Paris Apartment next. All by Juliet Gauvin.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9544 comments Still Listening to Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham. Love legal thrillers.

I had planned to listen to Playing with Fire next, but I just got A Banquet of Consequences by Elizabeth George and I can never wait for the next Thomas Lynley/Barbara Havers tale so that may get moved up.

Donnajo | 4379 comments so far today I started reading my mason jar book (it's my off the stack challenge) I hate prologue so pushed to read the 20 pages of that. it did end that so far I'll stick to the book.

The Interitance by Tom SavageThe Inheritance

Read more of the toni anderson book.
Decided I will take both the nora roberts book and the Illumininae book back to library tomorrow unread. The nora book I do have on my nook so that isn't a problem and I'm just not in the mood to read the other one. It looks like it's done in emails and letters.

message 16: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo | 4379 comments I'm so excited I went to the library today to return two unread books and knew they were having a class on saturday to learn about making a notebook. They had samples on the counter and they looked so neat so I signed up for the class. I can't wait. I don't have to bring anything they supply the stuff you use. it seems like a good size. I was the 18th person to sign up. so it's going to be a good size group.

Donnajo | 4379 comments Went to other library to get book page. What's wrong with me? One day I take two books back unread (one I have on nook). What do I do but get out two books. All the single ladies by Dorothea Benton frank and if I stay by gayle Forman. And that was after I went to bn to pick up the year of the doodle (which really looks neat now to do it), and yes I bought other stuff too. Bookmark, another MR grid notebook like I'm using for my fauxbonichi (So I have a extra if I keep up with the first one I heard they are hard to get this way I have another on hand)'. And yes they finally got the old book journal I used to use (another keep on hand I'm going to try the medium binder route this year)'. A small adult coloring book with different pictures in (figured it's a good one for the shore or in my purse), and adele's cd, and this nice black and white fold down tote. Also picked up w magazines for Isabelle for birthday hopefully I get out to get her main gift. Probably could have found something today at bn). And one other notepad style book, and a zippered bag with a quote on it that I figured for papers in my purse.

Neicole Crepeau (neicolec) | 2 comments I've been alternating between science fiction and thrillers. In the new year, I've been reading The Silent Girls, which I've heard good things about, but am not enjoying that much. I'm going to finish it because a book has to be REALLY bad for me to abandon it, but I could just as easily do without it, honestly.

JF: The Ice Princess - depressing
NR: Written in Fire - last book in the Brilliance Trilogy I got from Netgalley. I'm a little giddy. Nefertiti and Old Man's War

Ann (annrumsey) | 17073 comments Neicole: Have you read other books in the series before? I enjoyed The Silent Girl but I am a Rizzoli & Isles fan. If you do stick with it, I made a note in my review that the ending was a surprise.

Donnajo | 4379 comments No reading has been done today. I've been online for some of it deleting stuff off because I went this afternoon and finally got a new Mac laptop. not the one I was planning on since that one was the only one they have now that has the cd/dvd player (I still can't get over they don't have them anymore) so got talked into a newer one with a external superdrive. I'm sitting here looking at the bag with everything in it and not opening it since we didn't have time today (went with my sister and brother in law he was helping me) and robbie has hockey today so he takes him to the hockey. so I couldn't sit there for at least 20 minutes for them to help me set the laptop up, answer questions and whatever else. so going back in the morning on my own and taking my old laptop and the ipad mini so I can get all questions answered plus have them show me how to do the moving of files file the old one to the new one. So probably not going to move my favorite things over unless I do it myself using emailing the links. I figured that so many of the favorite things came when I had them bring them over between the last laptop and this current one. and so many places I don't go usually would save the links so I won't miss alot . and I can always find them again. So if you don't hear from me it's probably because I got lost in cyberdon LOL.

Donnajo | 4379 comments I'm on the new Mac laptop. so much to do. don't know where to start. have alot to get used too. the print is so light have to switch that. none of my downloaded book are on the new one nor none my iTunes music. so had to come home drop the laptops and iPad home then go up the highway to buy a flash drive at best buy. so I can move the stuff to the new laptop. the touch is completely different. so I'm hitting the wrong letters etc with my fast typing. the guy was able to fix whatever my problem was with getting on the the iCloud to work again on the iPad. now the problem is the wire that I can add or take off the extension is so tight I was able to take the plug off to add the extension now you can't remove the extension to put the plug on. the only time I really take the extension off is when I take the laptop and plug to the shore or my sister's since I don't need to extension then. so for the time being I'm not worrying about it. The way I found goodreads again is to put it in google now I have to see how I can save it.

NR Brooklyn audio just started today and quickly hooked.
NR print not much time to read these so will have to switch to audio for The Muralist to finish it. My Kindle loan is running out.

message 42: by Ann (new)

Ann (annrumsey) | 17073 comments Rachel - I read it and thought it slow as well. All the way through not just the beginning. I partly blamed it on the audio narrator. Perhaps not the only factor. :)

I didn't like Gayle Forman's IF I STAY at all. However, the followup book, WHERE SHE WENT, was stellar!

message 45: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo | 4379 comments Well guess I still have to read that one since I read in order. Lol. Maybe I will start with that since the other I do have on nook too. Also heading to library to return finished one and might pick up since they have on she'll. The chase by Janet E. Or 19 of her's since I want to do catch up. Also save me by sparks. Okay I believe I have all of them on nook too. But trying to push things along and maybe having library book will help. Yeah who am I kidding.
