Mount TBR 2016 discussion

I have over 100 physical books on my book shelf that I need to read, and over 500 unread books on my Kindle. So, unfortunately, this challenge isn't going to make much of a dent. However, it's the highest I feel comfortable challenging myself to read since I work thirty hours a week and commute to university full-time. I attempted to climb Mount Ararat in 2015 without success. Although I read 80 books, I only read 33 books that I have owned since 2014. I hope to do better this year. That's true....Goodreads keeps chastising me that I'm one book behind (if I want to fulfill my Good reads challenge goal).

Sorry, just saw your message. I didn't really like it. I didn't think it had anything to do with Alice in Wonderland, as I've been warned. Plus, the romance seemed very adults, but the characters seemed immature. I thought the main character was very much a Mary Jane. How does the second book compare?

I think the second book is more action-packed and had more in the way of developing Ali's character, but the romance is one of the downpoints, because Ali seems to rely on Cole too much and all the drama involving their relationship just wasn't for me. It was better than the first, I think. I failed to see the connection with Alice in Wonderland as well, at least the references were not as clear as I expected them to be.
