Stephanie (stephanie-somanybooks) | 719 comments Managed to make myself finish Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl by Carrie Brownstein

I love Portlandia but was not a Sleater_Kinney fan (too old to be a Riot Grrrl...) so this was really "meh" for me....

Cathy Correa (cathcorr) | 231 comments Just finished reading this one
Blindsided: Lifting a Life Above Illness: A Reluctant Memoir byRichard M. Cohen not what I usually read but my daughter had to read it for a university course and it looked interesting.

message 14: by Melki (new)

Melki I finished A Backpack, a Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka: A Memoir. This was meant to be for last month's Animal Challenge, but I missed the deadline. Since it is a memoir, I'm hoping to count it here.

I would say that could be considered a memoir...

Sam (ecowitch) | 320 comments And I've got my third and fourth for this with Autobiography of a Pocket Handkerchief, which was a rather quirky little read, and Woman Rebel: The Margaret Sanger Story, which was a great introduction to Sanger

message 32: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments My real #5: Dare to Disappoint: Growing Up in Turkey
A graphic novel, but very good and thoughtful about finding herself in all the expectations that were put on her.

message 34: by Cathy (new)

Cathy Correa (cathcorr) | 231 comments My number four in this category.
