First person to chime in with a suggestion from the list above chooses the January Special!

Since January is the 1st month, how about 1 word titles? Or Food in the title because everyone eats too much over the holidays. Also, a question. Can you use the same book in the regular challenge and the monthly challenges?

Each book can be used for only one category or special.

Thanks for the two suggestions, Connie! I think we'll go with "Single Word Title" since I'm trying NOT to think about all that delicious food I ate over the holidays!

I don't know if it's too late to add this to the monthly list, or maybe you just want to save it for next year's challenges, but I've been noticing that quite a few titles on my shelves have an Animal in the Title.

I love it, we'll add it to the list! The person who has read the most books for the January challenge gets to select the February challenge. Currently Rhonda has five but Melki is a close second at four!

Today, possibly later this afternoon, or this evening. The next topic will be chosen by either Rhonda or Melki, who are currently tied at six books each for the January challenge.

Rhonda, Melki, got any last minute Single Word Titles to add? I'll draw a name out of a hat if you are still tied at 6pm CST.

Okay, everyone, remember sports can be a BROAD category, including outdoor sports like fishing and hunting, horse racing and motorsports. Just keep an open mind... :-)

And if you're not sure, let me know and I'll make a ruling. (Mad Mod Power!!!)

If you are serious about this, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Once you have all the regular challenges set, you will have a list of ideas for monthly specials like last year?

Yes, I'm serious, and yes, the plan is to have a list to choose from, but you can also just wing it if you've got a good idea!
