Brandon Sanderson
Well I've only read two of his books... but I loved them both, and Mistborn: The Final Empire most of all.
I love that cover style! I think it's gorgeous. It's the reason why I want to buy the paperbacks NOW and read them before I go to the Netherlands, instead of probably buying the Kindle versions so I can read them there =(

I have likewise only read two of his books Mistborn: The Final Empire and The Well of Ascension, but I am reading The Hero of Ages at the moment :D
I have also got, but not read yet; Elantris and The Way of Kings, Part 1
I love the simplicity of the covers and a sib has I think all of the books that are out currently (minus Steelheart) and they look lovely! I have to say that I do like the cover art that featured on Tor not that long ago - Brazilian covers I think for the Mistborn ones? They were pretty fantastic as it was action shots in the air!

I think I have Way of Kings on the Kindle... I've kind of lost track now o.o
And I meant to say: I REALLY want to read Steelheart!

I have read the first Mistborn book, The Way of Kings, Elantris and Steelheart.
After all of those I can say that I like Sanderson, but am not totally amazed like a lot of other people. Mostly the books range around a 3,5 star rating from me.
But on the other hand, I'm really liking the author, his approach to his various series and the whole Cosmere thing, which is going to tie all of his fantasy series together in the end. If he can really pull that of, then I think he will be one of the most remembered fantasy authors ever.

I've read just about everything he's written, The Mistborn Trilogy, Elantris, Warbreaker, Steelheart, Legion, The Rithmatist, The Stormlight Archive, Alloy of Law,The Emperor's Soul, the final Wheel of Time book and I think that's about it. I just noticed he has a few books that I haven't read, I knew I hadn't read the Infinity Blade series but I didn't know there was more. Has anyone every read the Infinity Blade series? I have never read it because I think it's a companion to a game or something.
Also I love that most of his books are in the same cosmere and he does interviews about how the books are interconnected. If you are ever bored you can go to the 17th shard site and read all the theories and all the stuff he has revealed in interviews.

I've read just about everything of Sanderson's too, though I haven't readWarbreaker yet or his Alcatraz series.
I've read both of the Infinity Blade books, and hadn't played the game - but I really enjoyed them both -I'd recommend giving them a read.
Firstborn was a good read, as was Legion.

The Cosmere is so epic! It would be so difficult to keep track of all the world building details (although I guess he does have that "wiki" and also an assistant to keep track of things).I've read the Mistborn Trilogy, The Alloy of Law, The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, Elantris and Steelheart, and my favourite of his so far is probably The Hero of Ages. So many awesome plot twists! I think I like the Stormlight Archive as a whole better though.
I really like how all the UK editions of the covers match. The spines look really nice together on the shelf :)
I've only read the Mistborn Trilogy so far - started the first book here when it was the botm and just couldn't stop reading. I really like Sanderson's writing style and thought that the magic system was quite unique. My next book by him is definitely going to be The Way of Kings - I'm really looking forward to that because I've heard so many good things about it.
Waaaaaait - ALL of his books are tied together in one big universe?? That's seriously amazing, even more kudos to Mr. Sanderson! =o
So Sanderson has announced that he will be releasing a sequel to his novella Legion, which is called Legion: Skin Deep. According to the publisher website there is only 2,500 limited edition copies being released, but I'm hoping for an ebook/mass market paperback released afterwards sometime!
There's also some exciting news that he's signed a deal for graphic novels set in his Cosmere - White Sand. I love a graphic novel and will be very excited to get my mitts on these!
"A brilliant, new fantasy world, White Sand is split into two halves: on one side are the Daysiders, and on the other the Darksiders. Daysiders have a unique ability to control and manipulate sand, bending it to their will to attack, or protect, as they wish. Darksiders have their own unique abilities and culture, and must wear thick dark lenses while on the Dayside. Generally speaking, Daysiders and Darksiders do not get along…and White Sand follows the adventures of one particular Daysider, a boy named Kenton."

GRAPHIC NOVELS BY SANDERSON AHHHHHH
It makes me sad that he won't be at the con I'm going to. But I guess it's mostly for British authors...

my absolute favourite by Himmel is the sequel - therefore the forth Part of the - meistern series. i read it in german so i do Not know the english title, Nut i LOVED it and for me it is the Best Part! PS: in german it is called "Jäger der Macht"
A new Anthology has been announced by Sanderson, with a novella from himself as well as other people he does a regular podcast with called Shadows Beneath: The Writing Excuses Anthology. His novella takes place in his Cosmere! :D
e-book only in the UK it seems - Shadows Beneath: The Writing Excuses Anthology on Amazon

I can see how Elantris and The Final Empire would tie in together to be honest, but they're the only two of his that I've read so far.
I'm very late to the game with Sanderson.
I read Steelheart at the start of the year as Sanderson has been recommended to me a lot .
I decided to start with this as its a bit shorter than his other novels.
I loved it. Great books.
Recently I have read two of his Novella's, Emperors Soul and Legion. On the back of my experience with all these i will definitely be reading a lot more of his stuff.
The Way of Kings is now sitting on my shelves and i will purchase more.
I think Sanderson could definitely become a firm favourite with me

The thing that I find really awesome with him is that all of his books, except the ones that are set on earth, are written in the Cosmere. The Cosmere is a universe with an overarching history and there is one character that shows up in all of his Cosmere novels. Brandon is a very impressive author.
I'm finding that he is impressive. I wasn't aware of the Cosmere but i will become so as a delve further in.
There is a new scene of the Stormlight Archive set after Words of Radiance on Tor.com today.
It has massive spoilers for WoR, so if you -like me- haven't read it, stay away from it. All you other Sanderson fans, hop over and enjoy:

I DEFINITELY just had a fan girl shriek when Brandon Sanderson answered my question in regard to Wheel of Time
Head over to the GoodReads Q&A to check out his other questions and answers.

Oh that's so cool! I didn't know that was happening :) I've read through some, but as I have only read a few of his books, I don't want to accidentally read something about one I haven't read... though I love his answer to the who would you hang out with on the weekend :P
They're being pretty good with spoiler tags, but depends whether you want to avoid all knowledge of all things!
Eeek, congrats on getting your Q answered, Kirsty!
I didn't have a chance to participate in the online Gollancz Fest, as I was at work all day then sorting stuff out, and I won't be here for the actual thing on Friday! :( Which makes me extra sad, because I actually got an invite to a party there, from Titan Books. Kim Newman signing his new book grrrr!

I had an email from Orion about a review copy of Steelheart, but I replied to say that I'm in the Netherlands and would happily take a copy to review if they were okay posting here (some publishers are), but no reply :(

This novella is also in the Shadows Beneath: The Writing Excuses Anthology, which is an incredibly interesting read. It goes into detail about the writing process of Sanderson and a few other authors. I was a huge fan of the IEDemon short story in there as well.

Waterstones are unable to deliver my signed version of Mitosis due to being let down by the supplier.
Which means they let people order more than they had to supply.
Gutted :(

Ouch . Sorry about that. I hate to say it but my signed copy was dispatched today. Forbidden Planet had it on their website as in stock yesterday if you want to check they might still have them
No worries. I'm quite excited about this and Sub Press limited edition of Legion Skin Deep out this month as well
I'm a huge fan. I wrote to him and he sent me the early version of White Sands, his unpublished novel set in the Cosmere that they are releasing as a Graphic Novel next year. It's going to be interesting to see the difference between this draft and the final plot.
Great when someone so famous is still grounded. I saw him read at the Gollancz offices on a web feed this year and he comes across great. I just finished Mitotosis , am waiting on Legion Skin Deep and have preordered Firefight for january so I'm paying for his Christmas Dinner.
Sort of annoyed, I bought Well of Ascension when I was in Rotterdam in September, and then just saw it today for 50p in the charity shop at home! But I guess I get new book smell this way ;)
I got Way of Kings for 3 euro last year and it was brand new from a boolshop thats usually daylight robbery
I've still got my signed Mitosis copy sat waiting to be read. I'm currently 70% through words of radiance and should really get on and finish it!
I LOVE SANDERSON!
I LOVE SANDERSON!
I'm really excited about next year. We get 2 continuations of his ongoing series. Shadow of Self for Mistborn and Skybreaker for Stormlight.
I should be getting an ARC of Firefight, but first I need to read Steelheart :/ Looking out for a 2nd hand copy.

What is your favourite Sanderson book/series?
Personally, the Mistborn series is my favourite, but this is pretty much equal with my admiration and love for his work on the final WoT books.
I also wanted to flag up the Firefight Cover Reveal !
What do people think of these covers? Personally I LOVE this style cover:
