Awakened (Vampire Awakenings, #1) by Brenda K. Davis. The main characters are in college, it is also marked as new adult. I don't know if the other books in the series are also considered new adult. Book 2 (Destined) could also be new adult in my opinion. The main character is still young and unexperienced, but at the same time very independent.

(sorry I use the goodreads app so no bookcovers)
Conversion is book one in the series. The main characters are vampire and human. There are other books in the series, but this one starts the story of Teren and Emma. It has a very interesting spin on the traditional vampire story. This story makes vampires almost seem as if they could exist. New Adult is one of the genres listed for this book.
