In this imaginative collection of short stories, Saunders vividly captures the fears and pain that can plague our everyday life and emphasizes the role that one’s perception of reality plays in evoking these emotions and subsequent reactions.I found this book to be a quick but intense read. I do not think that I would describe it as hilarious, as noted on the cover, but I definitely would recommend reading it to experience Saunders' unique style.

I chose this book as my Week #1 challenge because I borrowed it from the library in 2015, and it is due back tomorrow. Other books and the holidays kept me from reading it before January 1!
