Ended up doing Magic Bites for Paranormal Romance. It was a bit lite on the romance side but it was definitely there. Enjoyed the overall story but did it in audio and disliked the narrator.

Yeah -- the romance in that series takes a while to build.

I was pretty surprised it was shelved as that. Even when the romance ramps up, it's never really a majority of the story

I know I kind of feel like I am cheating for using it.

At least it's nowhere near the number of shelvings it's got as Urban Fantasy

Finally did His Majesty's Dragon which I always avoided because the blurb didn't seem like something I would like. Well turns out I liked it. The MC was a little to formal for my tastes but loved the training school aspect. Will definitely pick up the next one at some point.

A Song for No Man's Land just didn't work for me. The WW2 apects were very well done but the fantasy parts just didn't blend well. I was also kind of disappointed with Tim Gerard Reynolds as the narrator after loving him doing Red Rising.

You might like the Grimnoir Chronicles -- Hard Magic, Spellbound. and Warbound -- for fantasy set in the era. . . though it's definitely history. No WWII.

Me too. Glad I finally got around to it. Was meaning to get to it for at least 5 years.

I think the group were reading it when I joined. I'll have to check now!

It was five months after I joined.

I always forget to check the threads for older reads.

I just look at the thread that lists them all, right at the top of the home page.

Currently reading Little, Big to wrap this challenge up.

2nd!!! Come on, be positive and proud. I was supreme champion purely down to the buddy group I'm in and the fifty odd books read each month. By the group not me!
