I used to make this challenge easily....the last 2 years have proved this to now be a very difficult challenge. Since I just finished my first book this morning (Jan 2) and am a quarter of a way through the next, I'm hopeful that this will be a good year for this reading goal!!

1) What She Left Behind by Ellen Marie Wiseman ~ This was a tough read for me - very dark and a lot of "the worst possible thing that could happen happens", but it had a decent ending and the story was good.
2)Letters to the Lost by Iona Grey ~ I really liked this story! This was a quick and compelling read even if it was a little predictable, I still enjoyed it a great deal!
3) Fly Away by Kristin Hannah ~ really liked this sequel to Firefly Lane. It was nice to be with Kate, Tully & Johnny again.
4) Passengerby Alexandra Bracken ~ I really enjoyed this YA novel. I'm looking forward to reading the next one and seeing how the story unfolds.
8) Loving Eleanor by Susan Wittig Albert~ interesting fictionalized account of the relationship between AP reporter Lorena Hickock and Eleanor Roosevelt
11) The House on Tradd Street by Karen White ~ I enjoyed this book! I think there is a sequel that I will have to read. Karen White is an author I count on for good stories!
13) The Edge of Lost by Kristina McMorris ~ This was a good story, but the end wrapped up way too quickly. It was a great ending, it just needed more time and development getting there.
14) Dear Thing by Julie Cohen ~ I loved this book! It was a quick read and an absorbing story. I will have to read more by this author!
15) The Secret Life of Violet Grant by Beatriz Williams- I loved the ending of this book! It took me quite a long time to get through it though. The story didn't grip me like I thought it would.
16) Happy People Read and Drink Coffee by Agnes Martin-Lugand ~ this was a one-sitting read. The reviews were not good, but I disagree. I liked it and look forward to the sequel!
20) True Colors by Kristin Hannah ~ this was not one of her best in my opinion - Very slow going from beginning to end
21) Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin ~ slipped a YA novel into the mix and really liked it!!
24) Somersetby Leila Meacham~I loved this book! Even though reading it set me back farther on getting anywhere near by 50 book goal for this year.....oh well.
26)A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman ~ I listened to this book on audible during long car rides to and from my daughter's college. This is a beautifully written story. I loved it!
