Swap Honest Book Reviews discussion

Hello! So, I now find myself without any books to review, which was good for a while since I was finishing up one of my books. But, now I'm free, just waiting for the beta readers to finish up their end of things, so I'd like to get a few books to review. I prefer fantasy, horror, perhaps a little bit of mystery, but I can read it all.

FYI I will only review books I think are worthy of 3 stars or more. If I don't like the book and don't think its worth 3 stars, I will send a discreet message and simply decline to review it. As an author, we all put ourselves out there for honest critique, that's what we should expect. After reviewing the book, I will post it on amazon.com, goodreads.com, my blog, twitter, and Facebook.

Hi All,

Is it true that the new Amazon algorithms will be prohibiting authors from reviewing one another's books? I can not imagine anything more ridiculous. Writers read too, right? If anyone can answer this for me I would feel a lot more comfortable reviewing new books here and asking fellow authors to do the same.

They look down on it. From what I understand, they are just trying to get rid of the massive reviews where people do not even read the books. They want to protect the integrity of the system. I think that if you read the books and give honest reviews - then they will allow - They review all the reviews so they can tell.

I know personally, I love to read so I read every book word for word. Actually, I am amazed at how much I have learned since I have been reviewing books..

Do you review non-fiction? My parenting guide will be released on March 11 and it is hard finding people who want to review non-fiction.

It is only around 30K words so not a hard read. Any help would be very much appreciated.
