Set in England and Paris, this is the first in a series. I think I am going to enjoy this character.

The Red Notebook by Antoine Laurain. A bag gets found by a bookseller on the street. With no contact information, he tries to find the owner to return it. Kind of sweet, in a predictable sort of way.

The Quarry by Iain Banks. There were some interesting passages but overall I did not like this book.

"A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers" by Xiaolu Guo. I highly recommend it! Most of the events take place in London.

I read At the Water's Edge which was set mainly in Scotland during World War II.
