I read Still Waters by Vivica Sten. It was originally written in Swedish. I loved it. A murder mystery set in during the summer holidays in Sweden. A quiet island village now worries that there is a serial killer loose among them. Local boy turned big city detective must try to solve the murders. Good stuff. This book could also fit following categories:
a book that takes place during summer
a murder mystery
a book that takes place on an island (the island Sandhamn)
a book set in Europe (Sweden)
I read The Diary of Lena Mukhina: A Girl's Life in the Siege of Leningrad. Translated from the Russian by Amanda Love Darragh. This war diary was kept for around a year by a sixteen year old who lived through the Siege of Leningrad/Leningrad Blockade. Worth reading.
I read The Girl in the Spider's Web by David Lagercrantz. This book is based on the creation of the books written by Stieg Larsson. It was translated from Swedish to English by George Goulding
Kafka on the Shore. I gave it two stars. Parts of it were very disturbing. I only finished it to check it off this reading challenge list. lol
