Genre Readers looking to expand discussion

Since I know not everyone is from the states on Goodreads and a lot of readers who are from the states like to read foreign authors I am also going to post one for different countries.

Read a book by an Author from every country (or as many as you can).

Perhaps I should do it a different way. A list of countries about which I'd enjoy reading a book set in the country:

Idea for these countries? that are actually worth reading?

This challenge is difficult. Everything I've picked up lately has been an American author. I need to work a little harder at this one.

I am surprised at how few books I read by authors that are not American.
