This challenge will be open from now to June and centers around Social Issues and Reforms. There are a lot of really good books out there that highlight these issues from both a non fiction or fictional point of view.

You can read any type of book you choose, nonfiction or fiction as long as the topic of the book centers around one of these issues, current or historical. You can choose to read about a person or a specific event whichever you prefer. Just decide what your goal is and see if you can reach it.

JUST TO CLARIFY YOU CAN READ ANY TYPE OF SOCIAL ISSUE AS LONG AS IT IS A CURRENT SOCIAL ISSUE. (we will be doing historical ones the last half of the year)

This list is just a list of examples you can choose others so long as it is a social issue we are still dealing with. (example, woman's suffrage is a historical issue, but equal pay for women would be current)

1. Reproductive rights
2. Affirmative Action
3. Capital Punishment
4. Homelessness
5. Immigration
6. Violence (Domestic, school, child)
7. Environment
8. LGBT rights
