I am so thankful to Leigh for inspiring me as a writer. Six of Crows opened my eyes to what was possible in the YA genre. Six of Crows is so immensely detailed and carefully crafted, yet the pace of it is blistering fast and terribly exciting. It's a perfect book in every way, full of just as many great one and two line quotes as it is poignant scenes, and nothing is wasted. Not a single word. In that regard, I will never forget Six of Crows and how awesome it is.

I read in the acknowledgements that Leigh Bardugo suffers from some sort of muscle syndrome, and she wrote that she feels it's like she and Kaz limped through the story together! So sweet!
