Valerie | 280 comments I could not put the book down. Read it in one sitting. It was so action packed, and full of suspense I kept turning one page after another until I had nothing left to turn.

I can certainly understand why it was a movie, and why it is a best seller.

Thomas Hillring (dakkster) What really surprised me about it was the dry humor. I really loved the book. Five stars. The audiobook version is excellent.

Frogli | 118 comments I was dragged along to the film and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. As the book is usually better than the film I'm looking forward to reading this (probably for the Science Fiction category)

Teresa (teremazon) I totally loved it. And also listened to parts of it in the car with my husband. The audio narration was superb.

The film is really good and captures the feeling of the book quite well I think. The book is definitely worth a read too though. It lets you inside Whatney's thoughts and is so much more intricate. There's also much more of the astronaut's dry humour. I really enjoyed it.
