Amanda (abh1212) I may have too many books. I may have too many books on my shelves that I haven't read yet. This should help with my possible problem :) I'm combining with other reading challenges and can't wait to get started!

1. The Pilot's Wife (1/4/16)
2. Supreme Courtship (1/8/16)
3. The Light Between Oceans (1/12/16)
4. The Book Thief (1/17/16)
5. Jane Eyre (1/24/16)
6. The Handmaid's Tale (2/2/16)
7. Ethan Frome (2/3/16)
8. Interview with the Vampire (2/11/16)
9. Pride and Prejudice (2/16/16)
10. Naked in Death (2/20/16)
11. Things Fall Apart (4/23/16)

Hi Maxine! I'm doing the Pop Sugar 2016 challenge, and when I finish that the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge. Hoping about half the books will be books that I already own.

Happy Reading to you too!

Amanda (abh1212) Second book down! "Supreme Courtship" by Christopher Buckley.

It's been sitting on my shelf since my dad read it and passed it along to me in 2009...also fulfills my "satirical book" category in the pop sugar challenge. Not as good as "thank you for smoking" but had its funny moments and was very entertaining.

Amanda (abh1212) #3: "The Light Between Oceans". Bought this book on my kindle in 2012, started it on a plane ride and never picked it back up again. Boy am I glad that I did, I loved it.

Amanda (abh1212) #4!! "The Book Thief" - why did I wait so long to read this book??

message 7: by Natália (new)

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) I'm hoping to read The Boom Thief this year as well, it's long overdue! I loved the movie and I hope I'll love the book just as much.

It was great! Have the tissues ready...

Amanda (abh1212) #5 down...Jane Eyre. I was supposed to read this in school, and only got about halfway through before abandoning it. The copy I read was the same one I've had since then, and you can see where my underlining and notes stop around page 200, lol. I'm glad I picked this up and read it until the end, but this one was slow going....

Amanda (abh1212) #6 completed: The Handmaid's Tale

1/4 finished!

Amanda (abh1212) #7! Ethan Frome

Wow, this was one depressing story. Very good though.

Amanda (abh1212) #8: Interview with the Vampire

Stolen from my older brother in the mid-90's...have carted this very worn paperback with me since then, planning to read it but I never do.

It was OK, but I didn't love it. I should watch the movie again...

Amanda (abh1212) #9: Pride and Prejudice

I really don't know why I've resisted reading this book for 15 plus years. I always thought it must be overrated...I was wrong, LOVED IT.

On to the next one....

Austen is good stuff. Glad you enjoyed it!

Amanda (abh1212) #10: Naked in Death

Inherited this one from my mom, and read it for the "romance set in the future" category of my PopSugar challenge. I know a lot of people choosing this book (or another from the series) for that prompt. Found it entertaining, but couldn't help laughing at some of the "futuristic technology".

Amanda (abh1212) #11: Things Fall Apart

Yikes, it's been 2 months since I read a book I owned as of January 1....Somebody keep me out of the library!
