Our library has Big Damn Sin City. It's a BEAST. Do we get extra discounts if our complete run is in one tome? ;)
I'm reading The Watchmen for this one. I got it for Christmas a few years back and I've had it sitting on my shelf ever since. Finally picking it up will be great.
I decided to complete my reading of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. Since I have already read the first two volumes, I am continuing with The Sandman, Vol. 3: Dream Country and The Sandman, Vol. 4: Season of Mists. That will leave 6 more volumes to complete this year.I just discovered that a library in my regional system has all of The Sandman volumes! I will be finishing this task! Yippee! I have ordered the next two on library loan. Should be in soon.
Although I will complete The Sandman series, I am thinking that this is not a comic in the sense of the task. I will look at other options.ETA: I checked the panels link and found that The Sandman series is listed, so I will probably stick with that. However, Watchmen is also available in my library system.
I once received issues of most of the Ms. Marvel series from the late 2000s (where Carol Danvers still had that identity), and so I read those and bought the rest on eBay. It wasn't very impressive. The character was a mainstay in every major crossover so it seemed like the book was just struggling to keep up with the Civil War/Secret Invasion/Dark Reign plot that was going on at the time. I think it's interesting, though, because it was part of a campaign that basically made Carol one of the Marvel Universe's major figureheads after she was the footnote in a more popular character's story (Rogue) for years.
I went with Y-The last man 10 volume series. Read it over a few days. This is a well worn trope. Some interesting ideas here and Brian K. Vaughan can bring the dialogue. Some other ideas that I wish were explored more but I'd never read it and now I have and I'm glad I picked it.
