Thanks Bonnie, you rock!

Katie (bookmouse424) I made a list on my blog as well. I was going to post it but Bonnie beat me to it LOL.

I think we can take all the book-movie lists we can get for this category. Thanks for sharing Katie!

Stacy I was going to re-read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them because I try to re-read the HP series every year anyway, but I was at Star Wars and saw a preview for a movie based on The 5th Wave. It looked great, so I guess that's my choice :)

Nikola Oruc | 6 comments I chose Patrick Ness, a Monster Call but the Girl on the Train is also on my list for the Book that takes place in Europe category. :D

message 8: by Sam (new)

Sam | 69 comments I managed to finish reading 'The 5th Wave' on the day the film was released. That counts, right? :)

message 9: by Leah (new)

Leah Reick (professional-reick) I finished "The Fifth Wave" yesterday. I'm counting it.

message 10: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Caldwell | 36 comments Haha, I have 20 more pages left of the 5th Wave too, its a popular choice for this category I see

Aw, I was going to read In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex for this one (It was given to me earlier this year), but apparently the movie based on it came out very late last year.

Thanks for the lists mentioned here, guys! I'll have to find something else for that (and hopefully something else to use the Essex book for.)

Audrey (ttrivium) | 47 comments Girl on a Train sounds like a good idea to me. I'd jump on Scorch Trials, but I feel like I'm already favoring YA this year, and I want to add in more of a mixture of reading levels as I move forward.

message 13: by Dana (new)

Dana Fontaine (danaschipporeit) | 5 comments The girl on the train is soooooooooo good!

message 14: by Fatima (new)

Fatima Avila | 9 comments Just finished Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and loved it all! Can't wait for the movie!

message 15: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Caldwell | 36 comments Me Before You was awesome! I used that in the takes place in Europe category though, but I can't wait for the movie either

message 16: by Ran (new)

Ran | 10 comments I was going to reread Inferno by Dan Brown but then I looked around and found The Girl on the Train. I'll definitely go with the latter!

message 17: by JenLin (new)

JenLin | 2 comments I'm currently reading Taliban Shuffle which is going to be released as Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I'm interested in seeing how a journalist's memoir of her time in Afghanistan/Pakistan translates into a Tina Fey movie, lol.

That's a great suggestion! I've seen those trailers but didn't know what the source material was.

message 19: by Sheally (new)

Sheally (sheallyt) | 67 comments I just finished The 5th Wave a couple days ago.

message 20: by Christina (new)

Christina Webb (msbeefcake) | 32 comments I read a monster calls by Patrick ness...finished in 2 days was so cute and sad but strangely uplifting, all at the same time. Totally recommend and can't wait for the movie

message 21: by Sam (new)

Sam | 69 comments I'm planning on reading that too Christina. Doubt it will fit into any of my remaining categories though, unless I close my eyes in a book store and get someone to lead me to the shelf it's on. Might need to wait until later in the year when I've finished the challenge.

Can we recommend it to you Sam? As strangers? That's a category right?

message 23: by Christina (new)

Christina Webb (msbeefcake) | 32 comments I'd say we're strangers and it would count

Sam | 69 comments Haha. The stranger recommendation was one of the first ones I completed.
