If you like a bit of chicklit, Emily giffin has one about a publisher or editor... I can't remember which but I think it's baby proof.
That is an oddly tough one. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any books (or graphic novels!) with publishers as the main characters - but I will pay attention, and post if I come across any!!
I'm going off of memory here, but I think Eddie in The Distant Hours by Kate Morton is in publishing.
I you're interested in literary publishing, I would suggest MuseIt's gossipy, with some romance, Venice and secrets in it.

Not sure if anyone is still looking for books in this category, but Happiness by Will Ferguson has a protagonist who works as a low-level editor in a publishing company. He ends up publishing a self-help book that actually works, and the book is about the absolute chaos that ensues worldwide when no one needs all their various crutches and vices anymore. I quite enjoyed it, even though it's a little silly in places. It's a great satirical look at the self-help industry too, if anyone needs a satirical book.

I've encountered a couple possibilities. I saw someone on this group suggested The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand because the character Gail Wynand is a newspaper publisher.
I also recently learned about this book, Younger by Pamela Redmond Satran, which is about a 40 year old woman attempting to break into publishing, and because she encounters ageism (along with some other personal upheavals in her life), she decides to make herself over as a 20-something. I'll probably read this one to fill the prompt, but any more suggestions?
