Kirsten (kmcripn) I am planning on several challenges this year. I don't know how well I'll do. But we'll see.

I plan on participating in the 2016 Ultimate Challenge. (Maybe I'll have better luck doing 40 books than 52.)

I also plan on reading 75,000 pages this year as well as total book count of 225 books.

I also want to read at least 30 classics (over 50 years old) and 30 books found on the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list.

I have put down a goal of 25 books for the GCAC-2016 challenge, since I think I can better my achievement of only 14 last year.

I also have a goal of reading at least 12 NEW RELEASES this year. It seems every year I haven't read hardly any of the nominees for the Goodreads Choice Awards.

In addition to the standard A-Z Challenge and Color Challenge, I will also do a US States Challenge and a UN Member States (I made that one up) Challenge.

It looks impressive.

My goals/challenges are simpler

There are a few challenges on Instagram than I'm planning to do.

Also I think I'm finally going to read Harry Potter

I also want to read more new books as I found that last year I hardly read anything new.

And I will try to achieve my goal of 50 books, which I failed to do last year- due to new baby and moving house.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) Awesome!

I don't have a lot of goals except to read.

I do need to make a better effort at reading some of the "older" books on my TBR list. I read a lot more from my kindle but I still have gobs of paperbacks that need to be read. So I will make my goal to read at least 24 paperback books that I already have this year.

Whoa, Kirsten. Lots of books there.

I'm thinking of joining a local "in-person" bookclub. First book up is The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins . Didn't think it would appeal to me, but I might read it, since the group is.

Next month is The Boys in the Boat Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown , which I do want to read.

Since I'm all move in now (I'm ignoring those boxes in the garage and the guest room right now), I put my goal back up to 200.

As usually, I'm going to try and listen to two audio books I own before buying any others...alas, I know I won't hold to this. Clicking more into my on-line cart is just too, too easy.

Doing an A-Z Series Challenge and an alliteration challenge, which I enjoy every year.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I read GIRL ON THE TRAIN. It's a nice easy read. It seems to, though, inspire love and loathing. I really enjoyed it. But I now a lot of people that hated it.

I want to read BOYS IN THE BOAT too.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) That sounds great, Lisa Kay! Hope you enjoy the books and the club!

Yeah, I can see that, Kirsten. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins is not my usual fair. The characters aren't very likable, but the mystery is pretty good.

We'll see if I make it out the door on the 12th. LOL! I tend to be a bit of a hermit at times.

That's a good idea. I might make my own personal challenge to read more of my paper books.

It is a good goal. Then I can decide if they're "keepers" or ones to give away. I have way, way to many paperbacks.
