Summary: This book is about a boy named Septimus Heap. When a ghost named Alther Mella goes missing, Septimus Heap decides that rescuing Alther is what he wants to do for his Darke week; to find Alther in the Darke halls. When a boy named Merrin Meredith gets ahold of a object with darke powers, it is up to Septimus to put things right. When Septimus and Simon meet each other again, they learn they must trust each other again. Merrin causes the darknesse and panic to spread from inside the palace, and through the Castle.
Personal Reaction: I think it was a pretty good book, it was very adventurous and it was easy to keep reading. It was interesting to read about all the different character's personalities in the book, and how they reacted to different circumstances.
