In the Beginning Was the Word: The Bible in American Public Life from 1492 to 1783 by Mark Noll - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...and
Eifelheim by Michael Flynn (on Seth's recommendation) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
I'm currently reading Virginia Woolf's collection of memoir essays MOMENTS OF BEING. I'm really enjoying the second piece "A Sketch of the Past."
Just finished "Why Jesus Matters" by George Stroup. Just started "The Paul Debate" by N.T. Wright. Also working on "The Orthodox Way" by Kallistos Ware.
_A World Made Whole_, by Esther de Waal. There is a link from my Currently Reading shelf. I'm on my phone and can't find a link w/in this app. I'm enjoying it, but annoyed that so far there are only general references to women within the "... men and women ..." general references. All the specific examples, and there are many, of Irish religious and monastic life have been from the lives of men.
I've just started Neil Gaiman's Sandman Graphic novel series. I was given the first volume for Christmas. So far it's pretty awesome.
Antony Everitt's "The Rise of Rome": https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... It's a overview from the founding myths to the monarchy to the fall of the Republic.
Ron Chernow's bio of "Alexander Hamilton" : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Reading: -Reformed Dogmatics vol 1 - Herman Bavinck
-Ante-Nicene Fathers vol 1 - Philip Schaff (ed.)
Listening:
-The Art of Divine Contentment - Thomas Watson
