Havana sat the boy down on the soft grass near the water and turned towards Leora, feeling a little light headed, "Either I don't like heights or this place is freaking me out more than it did last time."
"You seemed fine in the air," said Leora frowning. There was an unusual sensation hanging in the air around here even though the scenery was amazingly breathtaking. She blinked, taking it all in, she felt that chill on the back of her neck. "I think...maybe it's the place. When shining knight," she used the word sarcastically, "brought you here, what happened?"
"I can't say." She said frowning "It has the same sensation it had last time. As if something important happened here once upon a time." She looked down at the child and shrugged off the feeling for a moment.
"So you don't remember your name ha?" She said to him
"No, I don't really remember much at all." the child pushed of his grubby shirt stained with blood and revealed bloody, infected wounds all over his back.

Leora looked up and around, her senses reaching out, tingling with every bit of darkness it sensed. She shivered. Whatever had happened here, it hadn't been nice. She turned a little and cocked her head to the side, listening.
"Not just important, earth-shattering I think," said Leora. She looked down at the kid, "Why don't you give him a name, Havana?"

Havana glanced at Leora and bent down to examine the wounds over his back. "I don't know." She said a little shy of the idea of naming a child. She smiled at the boy. "Alexander suits you, you know." She said and he smiled equally shyly.
Leora knelt down and also looked at the kid's wounds. They were somewhat horrifying to look at. How had he gotten them she wondered. Looking at Havana, "So, you want to heal him? Because healing isn't exactly within my abilities."
I suppose I might be able to." She said wondering. It wouldn't be out of the question. She had speed, strength and the power of light. What reason would she have for not being able to. She concentrated on her inner core like she had earlier when she summoned light. She put all her strength and determination into it but nothing came up. She tried again but still nothing. "I don't think healing is a talent of mine either." She said and huffed in disappointment. To go to plan B, she motioned Alexander to lie on his stomach so she could cleanse his wound with the water of the lake.
"Huh," said Leora. She stood and let Havana do the tending, she seemed more gentle than Leora would ever be when it came to tending someone's wounds. It's probably a reaction from whenever she had to tend Blayke's wounds. She just felt like punishing him every time. Leora watched the water. It surprised her that Havana couldn't heal, but maybe the rumours had been mistaken. "So what did your shining knight and you do when he brought you here?"
Havana blushed slightly and continued her tending, trying to act normal. "Well...I bathed and he helped me." She laughed a funny laugh. "He was of course a complete gentleman about it though." She said, embarrassingly. The topic wasn't exactly one she was comfortable with. But Leora didn't seem like the type of person to let it slide.
Leora smirked.
"Helped you bathe ey? Somehow I sense a very touchy feely moment here, lots of intense intimcy and smooching," she teased, noting Havana's embarrassment. She was definitely not going to let it slide. Unfortunately now she was getting a visual image and as much as she loved hot guys, she didn't need to go into details considering she couldn't even picture the guy. She wondered if he'd been hot. Then she'd tease Havana more.

Havana stopped smiling and looked down at the water, memory coming back to her. His brown/red hair waving in the wind, bright brown eyes; intense with passion for all things he loved. Including her. She felt a single tear fall down her cheek and into the water. She wiped it away and laughed it off. "Please Leora, there's a child here."
"Oh you definitely have to tell me more about him later then," totally not letting it go. She walked passed the golden haired girl and ruffled her hair as though to comfort her, even though comforting wasn't exactly her thing. "Clean Alex up, I'm going to do a quick scout, be right back."

"Go ahead." She said and glanced down at Alexander. Alex, she liked the sound of that. She smiled down at him and started wiping his face down with the water to get the grub off.
Leora checked around the Lake where they were currently having a stopover emergency to take care of Alex. There was no one, as expected, but Leora didn't like the quietness. If anything, the lack of sounds perturbed her. She cast several runes, flicking them in the directions of the compass points and listened for any hints of ambush. Nothing.
And then...something came crashing through the bushland, and she swore. She sensed the coating of stealth magic and immediately ran back to Havana.

Havana saw Leora rushing towards her in a fit of hurry and she jumped up pulling Alex with her. "What wrong!?! What's going on?!? She asked in panic. She didn't like the look on Leora's face. Alex stayed close to Havana's side and she rapped an arm around his shoulders.
"Up!" Leora said fiercely, grabbing Havana's arm and launching as fast as she could into the sky, which was hard because of their weight. Underneath them, she heard a roar of a mythical creature that had been sent after them...no, probably after the little boy, or even Havana. "We gotta move. Where did you and shining knight go next?"
((The village thread is already there, so you can post first if you like.))
"I have wings too you know." She said, heart pounding at full speed. "We went to a village not far from here. 5 minuets, tops at flying speed." Havana let out her wings so she could hold onto Alex a little better and not put strain on Leora. I'll lead the way."

Carmentis stood at the edge of some bushes a small distance away from the waters edge, collecting special leaves and flowers that contained healing properties. She was running low on supplies at the moment and needed to gain as much as she could before winter arrived. She brought out her container from her pouch at her side and walked to the water to collect some of it. There was something special about the water that improved peoples physical health. Something special about the entire place now that she thought about it.

Carmentis glanced at her side to see Arthur, a fellow angel she had once known from her time in heaven. "Arthur?" She asked in surprise, laying down the leaves and flowers she had picked and walked over to him. She walked up and gave him a friendly hug, laughing at his ridiculous question "Why wouldn't I be here. This place as the most magical healing properties for my craft. It's where I gain my ingredients. Other than that, I like to embrace the beauty of my surroundings." She smiled and walked back over to her ingredients "And you?"

"That depends," She said taking off her shoes and stepping in the water "Are you asking me why I find the place beautiful or are you asking me why I chose to leave heaven?" She started picking sea weeds out of the water and shaking them a little. "This'll do just fine." She said to herself, forgetting for a moment that Arthur was there.

"Oh Arthur." She said looking at him sadly. "I didn't want to choose between all my brethren. I loved them all and still do. How could I possibly make that type of decision. Besides, it's not a betrayal if I'm not one nor the other." She smiled and laid her basket down to grab a bite to eat. "Are you hungry?" She asked, pulling out some bread and cheese.

She smiled at him warmly. "Well, I'm sure you will be happy to know, I'm perfectly alright. In fact, better than that." She put the cheese on the bread and munched slowly "I have a nice cottage about 5 minuets walk from here in the forest. I have a solid business in healing for those who need my assistance, particularly the village not far from here and I'm anything but starved and cold. Now that that's sorted, what about you? Are you well enough?"

"I can understand that you have convinced yourslef that I will pick up and leave, following you where ever you want to go, but I won't. If they think I'm a witch, what's the worst that can happen? They can't kill me so thats out of the questions and if they throw me in a prison, I'll break out. Worst comes to worst I'll have to leave and live elsewhere. As for the rest of the Fallen. Good luck. I hope you know that most of them weren't given the choice. Like Havana for example. She was kicked out for being Lucifers sister. And then there's Leora. She was kicked out becuase she was framed for doing something she didn't do." She sighed heavely and deeply laying a hand on his upper arm, "You arn't God Arthur. You can't expect everyone to follow you like that. Isn't that what happened to Lucifer? Look at him now. He is a demon becuase of playing God."

Carmentis felt tears in her eyes at his harsh words "How could you say that Arthur? Why can't you understand that I love our fellow angels to much to choose a side. How does that make me a mean girl?" She wiped a tear from her cheek and turned her face to the side do he didn't have to see her cry. "I hate that everyone is fighting. All I want is the peace. If I can't have that, than I will have nothing."

She buried her head in the crook of his arm, feeling a wave of emotions rush through her that she had tried hard to bury down. "I never intended to make anyone think that I was for or against and it saddens me to think that you thought so ill of me all this time. If I had of known... You are one of my closest companions." She pulled away a little and wiped some of the tears from her face. "I know what you're trying to do. But I feel in my core that this isn't something that will end in a few words and missed memories. "It's the reason I haven't attempted to do what you're trying to do."

"I do too Arthur." She said, feeling better than before. I'm not usually like this but...You know what I get like with my healing at times." She stood up and brushed herself down, picking up her basket in the process. "Did you want to come back to my cottage and have something to eat and drink. You look starved and I'm not going to take no or an answer." She looked at him expectantly and with determination.
