I like Maggie but that could be influenced by the fact that I've read later books where she grows as a character.
That's good to know because right now, I'm conflicted. She wasn't impressive as a profiler in this story, except with her assembly of the clues to target Keller. It's all the strange behavior in getting him captured that puzzled me. And, why she was alone was a mystery.
While I understood her vulnerability, I was very bothered by her relationship with Nick. Not just because she was still married but because he wasn't much better than her shallow husband. I'm hoping this relationship doesn't go anywhere.

I also clicked! Thanks. I agree with Jonetta's comments above. I may have expressed similar thoughts in answer to another question in our discussions.
LOL. Who isn't going to click? Maggie was an OK character. I thought she was acting very stupid at some points. Why go down into a hole in the ground with only a penlight? Why didn't she replace her cell phone so she could call Nick and tell him what she found?
I checked out the year this book was published and realized cell phones weren't as prevalent then...but, still! Your point is valid, Robin.
I like Maggie. I think Maggie is an excellent profiler, but she has so many other issues going on that I was afraid her instincts would be off. Maybe they were a bit when it came to Nick. I would like to see her become a little bit stronger in the next book. And perhaps a bit smarter in her decisions.I clicked!
I defintely liked Maggie. You can see she has a lot of issues. I look forward to see her grow up on this series.
