Where on the screen is the list of the titles for 2016? I cannot see it, probably b/c I use the screen enlargement program Zoomtext. Please tell me where to look for the list for 2016. Thank you.
On the Jellicoe Road is one of my all time favorite books ever! I have a secret girl crush on the Aussie narrator. I could listen to her all day.
I didn't know anything about this. Wonderful. I'm looking forward to reading through the site and have it marked in my favorites. Thank you Julie.
They keep adding more books each year. Here's their history since they started:2010 -- 16 books
2011 -- 16 books
2012 -- 20 books
2013 -- 24 books
2014 -- 26 books
2015 -- 28 books
Maybe they'll give us 30 books this year?

I think I missed the first two years. Don't remember for sure.
Mai wrote: "never heard of it, might give it ago this year"I highly recommend them. There are some great listens to be had; and they're DRM-Free.

I make a point of taking advantage of these :)
While I am mostly interested in the classics offered, I have found most of the YA selections are quite enjoyable (even though I am an "old adult" not a "young adult"!).
I love Audiobooksync! I've been enjoying their audios for the past few years and the selection is good. I usually go for the classics, but I've enjoyed some of the YA ones too.
I'm far from being a YA myself, but I really enjoyed I'll Give You the Sun. I gave it 5 stars. It looks like it will be one of the books offered this summer.I didn't pick up very many of the audiobooks last summer. I got Beautiful Creatures, March, Dodger, and Lord of the Flies. You have to watch because not all are available everywhere, and there were a couple I would have downloaded if they had been available in Canada.
Geo-Restrictions are an unfortunate component of this program. SYNC is designed for US audiences. Last year, 11 of the 28 books had restrictions.
I thought they were all restricted and never even bothered to look at this, but if this is true, I could have listened to 17 books last year?Edit: they even very helpfully have a list http://www.audiobooksync.com/non-us-l...
That's still worth a try.
I've been getting them since 2012. There have been some really amazing books in this program. And even though I'm one of those fat OLD broads, I've enjoyed all the ones I have listened to. <><
You are as young as the audio books you're listening to.(It's a miracle I do not have to go back to kindergarten sometimes).

lol... me too!
i like how ABSync pairs a classic with something more modern - IMHO it makes classics more relatable - and would be a great way to approach them in the classroom
There are some gems on Audiobooksync that I wouldn't have found otherwise. Been listening to their titles since 2013, but last year was the first time I downloaded something almost every single week.
SYNC has announced it's schedule for 2016. The program will run for 15 weeks, giving away 30 books. That's one week and two books more than last year's program. A full list of titles hasn't been released yet."SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+, running May 5th - August 17th 2016. SYNC 2016 will give away 30 titles - two thematically paired audiobook downloads a week!" -- http://www.audiobooksync.com/

The blog has been periodically releasing the titles of some of the books that will be included in the 2016 offerings, but the complete list hasn't been posted yet.
I want to assure everyone that the full 2016 list of 30 (!) titles will be published well ahead of AudiobookSYNC's start date of May 5. There is a blog (http://www.audiobooksync.com) on which announcements are made all year around. That is also the URL where you can connect once the program is underway to locate each week's pair of downloads.I'm also REALLY interested in hearing from any/all of you about how you share SYNC info with teens? Thanks!
Francisca wrote: "I'm also REALLY interested in hearing from any/all of you about how you share SYNC info with teens? Thanks! .."I share the links and info about SYNC with my niece (15) as she is an avid reader. I should start sending them to my nephew (13) too!
The full schedule has been posted. Start date is 05 May.weekly schedule --> http://www.audiobooksync.com/

Julie wrote: "Thanks for that list. Looks like they will have a nice selection of all different things this year !"YW - an interesting collection to be sure. The two I'm looking forward to are Daniel Ellsberg and Classic Short Stories. But they're at the end, so I have a long wait :(
11 of the books have geo-restrictions, so some people will be unhappy. I loath geo-restrictions.
Julie wrote: "I'm probably most excited for This Boy's Life. I read it a long time ago and really liked it so it'll be a treat to hear it on video."
Video ??? :D
tubemonkey, thank you for the geo-restrictitons link. There are a lot of books available for me, great.Julie, lol, I thought you were very modern using video for audiobooks, if you had not told it was because of bedtime, I would still be in awe!
Yes, it was! And the list also includes the 2016 Printz winner, a title from a Nobel winning author, and more prize winners. Good stuff.
Re Sync Audio selections - Even if you haven't heard of the books, I would suggest that you download them anyway because there are always a few gems to be discovered. A few years ago, we downloaded the first book in Jonathan Stroud's Bartimeaus trilogy and another year we got Guys Read Funny Business which was a big hit with the kids on a long car trip.
Good advice! The files ar yours to keep so download while they are available and listen all year long!
Yes. A couple of years ago there was even one of Bryce Courtenay's books, The Potato Factory (I think). I tend to download nearly all the books, just in case.
Question! I participated in this program last year. Do I need to resubmit my email address to receive alerts for this year or will Audiobooksync continue to send me alerts this year as well?
Yes, do. Alternatively, you can download from the audiobooksync.com site each Thursday during the season. Lots of ways to access these!
Three books I am excited about: Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad, Most Dangerous: Daniel Ellsberg and the Secret History of the Vietnam War, and Bone Gap. The others I might download, but won't be on the top of my to-listen pile. I thought last year's lineup was much better, but we'll see if there's anything that surprises me.
The other day I attempted to listen to The Hiding Place which was an Audiosync book two summers ago. It would not play for me. This year I will test each download when saving it.
Today is the first day for the new season of Audiobooksync books -- in case you didn't sign up for the email alerts .
I'm really excited about this first week's pair of books, especially Vivian Apple at the End of the World with one of my favorite YA narrators Julia Whelan. I'm interested in human evolution and the response by some religious groups to education about it.
I'm not familiar with that narrator, Donna, so will be interested in hearing more from her !
Julie wrote: "I'm not familiar with that narrator, Donna, so will be interested in hearing more from her !"I hope you enjoy her as much as I do.
This looked a nice read, but alas for me, this first offering is region restricted.Hope you all have fun listening overseas (see me waving? Oh no, you're all busy listening, never mind!)
Donna wrote: "I'm really excited about this first week's pair of books, especially Vivian Apple at the End of the World with one of my favorite YA narrators Julia Whelan. I'm interested in human ..."Julia is fabulous I love her!
