I spent a chunk of yesterday just catching up on CyCon work and I sorted out the Covers! HERE IS HOW WE'RE DOING THIS!

Some genres have pics that were hard to place, But we have 3 very distinct styles from all genres coming in. I am using Google Forms to set up three categories based only on style. Not genre. All covers are being accepted. I'll be providing the links today once they are set up. AUTHORS! I will need you to review the forms ASAP to confirm they are set up correctly!

I reached out to brackify.com almost 2 weeks ago and still no repsonse. At this point I will be setting up the Covers Wars using Google Forms and Facebook.

I want to do categories, but I need to see what genres I'm getting in. More on this later.

YES, I am still accepting covers. Remember. I need them LARGE :) 1050 or more in size please.

I'm going to look into this and see how to use Facebook to do this.

From what I've seen, they do "rounds" and use the "like" feature on Facebook to pull this off.

I may just host this on my site so I can bring in Facebook members and Goodreads members all to the same place.

And I'll have scheduled rounds. Or something like that. One a day...

I have no idea where to begin with this one, but I love the energy it produces. But my workload is maxed and I can't do it. If anyone knows someone who has done the Cover Wars, or you have done a Cover War and want to host one for the Convention, the position is yours. We can use our Facebook Event or the Brain to Books Facebook Group for this.

This sounds like an awesome idea! Unfortunately I've never hosted such a thing so I don't know that I can help out, but I'd love to help out in any way I can that I can learn on the go. Also, I've got a cover artist I'm very proud of, so it would be wonderful to showcase his work.

Reach out to Joe Compton. I see he's running a character competition as part of the event. He did this in another group to which we both belong. He leveraged a tool that made it easy to see the brackets for the competition. I think he can give you some pointers / suggestions.

I'll likely send you my cover, if you're still collecting?

The votes are added to a data bank so at a glance I can see the winners of each section.

Angela, can we promote this on Facebook, like post asking people to vote for our cover, and can we do that now or do we have to wait for the CyberCon? And how do we do it -- do we just cut the link from this thread and paste into our Facebook? :)

You can do it now... I am currently uploading the last of the covers, so once you receive a bulletin from me saying "Cover Wars is done!" then yes! Send people over to vote!

Fixed! Thank you! "Spririt"... is this "Spirit of the Lone Horse"? I was late in updating the page (I think I finished on the 16th). It is there now :) Have a look.
