I have a 16 month old, so this happens multiple times a day. Presently Kait's favourites are Little Blue Truck and Moo, Baa, La La La!.
I read An Invitation to the Butterfly Ball this weekend to my niece. I have no children but I do have a gazillion nieces and nephews;-)
I'm almost finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to a guy I'm dating. This is his favorite childhood story. I do not want to spend our dates reading aloud. I record myself reading the book, upload it to the cloud, then email him a link to my recording. It's working well.
I read The Secret Life of Squirrels with a three year old friend of mine. While the plot was slow, I thought the character development was fascinating. :)
I read Have You Seen Marie? to my boyfriend and several cats, technically it's not a children's book but the story its constructed as one, and it has pictures. It was very moving and gave a lot to think,
I read aloud to my 3-year-old grandson every Friday. Favorites are Ann Dewdney's Llama Llama books, a new book called They All Saw a Cat, and The Snail and the Whale or anything by Julia Donaldson.
I can't remember the book I read, but I recently got a new job with disabled children and have been reading with some of them now. So ticking it off even if I can't remember specific
I read a beautiful children's book of poetry for this task; Firefly July A Year of Very Short Poems. I read it to my dogs.
I read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? approximately a million times while teaching it to my EFL first graders, as well as a couple other children's books.
