I have such fond memories of watching Labyrinth with my son when he was a baby. My husband deployed less than a month after our son was born, so it was just me and the baby, all alone. It was terrifying to me, lol. Anyways, Labyrinth fascinated him. It was soothing, and it was something that didn't just kill me to watch over and over.

And of course the music... I can't even begin to explain how much his music and art meant to me over the years. This is just a sad day for me.

Yeah, as a child I was obsessed with Labyrinth and I made my sister and bestie watch it over and over, too. We knew all the words. Now my little sister is 34 and just 3 days ago! On his bday! She was in Brixton and made sure I knew she was singing Labyrinth in his hometown on his birthday. And today we're sending videos of our favorite Bowie songs back and forth.

It's sad but man he gave us such an incredible log of media to consume and love and obsess over! Gonna go play TVC15, then Black Country Rock, then Panic In Detroit, then Look Back In Anger, then ALL of Buddha of Suburbia as it's just the best- yeah, my day will go like that.

Have an easy day everyone!

Alisha I read a different article where he said his perfect man is one who returns his library books on time. As a librarian, I fell in love with that. :,)

Terpsgrl32 | 56 comments I didn't really grow up listening to Bowie, but thinking about it, I think my favorite movie role of his was Tesla in the Prestige. He was perfect for that. I mean I love the insanity that is Labryinth, but his take on Tesla was just so good & one of the main reasons I keep going back to that movie.
