Right now I have a copy of the Catholic Answers Study Bible NABRE and Matthew Kelly's book Rediscover Catholicism: A Spiritual Guide to Living with Passion & Purpose. I also have a study guide on different types of prayer.

I'm reading I, Rigoberta Menchú: An Indian Woman in Guatemala. Rigoberta won the Nobel Peace Prize for bringing to the world's attention the human rights abuses of the indigenous in Guatemala. It's not riveting reading however I have Quiche (pronounced key-che) Indian students from Guatemala and am curious about their culture and the issues they face. So it's something both informative and useful since the wave of Central American immigrants seems to have landed quite a few students in my classroom.
Heather Ordover runs a wonderful literature and crafts podcast called (appropriately enough) Craftlit. As an English teacher, she brings so much more to a reading of a classic (currently just about to start The Count of Monte Cristo) than I'd ever find alone. Hmm... I'm not sure of the date, but it will be episode 402. I read (listened to, actually! Yay Bill Homewood) The Count a couple of years ago, but I look forward to hearing her "annotations".
I have These Is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901 and The Rosie Project, along with There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me and The Baker's Daughter/ to tackle next, but I am listening to The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy on my iphone now!
