Hey everybody! These are some questions to consider when reading through the chapter and before posting your responses. I'll be doing this for each chapter.

What do you admire of a father-figure? What are you ashamed of?

What is the image of Jesus like in our culture? What is YOUR image of Christ?

What is your opinion of John Eldredge's outlook on being the outdoorsy kind of guy that he is? Is this for everyone? Is this biblical?

Just a starting point. Love you all!

Stephen Veasel | 1 comments I admire a father that shows love outwardly towards his family and leads them in a Godly manner.
I am ashamed of the way I talk sometimes and the lack of leadership.

I think people see God as someone they will never meet. Like they know they should do the right thing but they don't see him as an authority that they one day will have to answer too.

I see Christ as....I'm not really sure how to answer that. I know all the right christian answers to say about Christ but I have never really thought about it. I guess I would say he is father to me because of all he does but its hard to say that in its true sense when the only father I have ever known I have been able to see, touch, hug, love and so on.

I really really like Johns outlook on being an outdoorsy guy. I also feel that most men desire some form of outdoorsy adventurous life style but are suppressed because of life itself.
No, I don't think any one way is for everyone but maybe most.
Not sure if its biblical either but he did make a point how a few biblical characters went into the wilderness to get stronger in an aspect of their life so maybe it is?
