I've been poking around for recipes, but of course most are just Sudanese. Useful but not specific. I came across a pamphlet of recipes created through an initiative in Australia to prepare food for refugees from their homeland.
They say "The Good Food for New Arrivals project is a successful example of collaboration between a non-government welfare organisation (ASeTTS) with a state government health organisation (EMPHU) utilising Commonwealth government funding (National Child Nutrition Program)."
Excellent Jenny! I am too impatient for the pamphlet to load on my phone but I will check it out later. And most likely try to make something myself before we move on to our next stop :)

And here is the pamphlet!
I'm going to make kissra and some kind of stew this weekend. I'll report back!
