Lesley Moseley | 717 comments I first need to sort out my GR 'want to read' list.. Up to 63, the last time I looked.. Might print out the list, go to amazon, delete not interested, go to my library site and order the balance...Will be a slow process, as the current reading is minimal due to Australian Open..

I always mean to read more Booker nominated books every year than I do

Slurry222 Some I'm excited about:
Quicksand by Henning Mankell
http://www.theguardian.com/books/2016...
(For some reason, Goodreads only has the description in Swedish)

The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate—Discoveries from A Secret World

Being A Beast

The Lie Tree

Bodies of Light

How do we add the covers?

How do we add the covers?
So when you do add book/author at the bottom is a choice of link or cover. It is set for link so you will have to click cover if you want it.

The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge

Bodies of Light by Sarah Moss

I'm interested in your take on the Kent Haruf and Major Pettigrew.

Lesley Moseley | 717 comments I will give up on the good Major DNF at 69 pages,...Sweet enough but I am more in line with the reviews that give it 1 star..

Zadie Smiths book is so tiny, The Embassy of Cambodia: Short Story and only took a couple of hours to read, but she is such (IMHO) a wordsmith, afterwards I felt like I had just finished a very satisfying novel. WOW.. all aspiring writers should read how to under-write.

Denizen (den13) | 566 comments The Mirror Thief by Martin Seay Homegoing A novel by Yaa Gyasi Redemption Road by John Hart LaRose by Louise Erdrich

Perhaps I should create another exclusive shelf labeled Titles to Watch instead of just slapping everything on my TBR. The Mirror Thief simply sounds fun, and Homegoing has very strong early ratings on GR, Has anyone read any John Hart mysteries? His name doesn't ring a bell to me but I'm not much of a mystery reader. LaRose doesn't sound like a topic that would appeal to me, but I felt the same way about The Round House and ended up loving it.

The Last Child The Last Child by John Hart

It was really good. I've been meaning to read something more by him. I need to get back to this list and check it out more thoroughly.
