Tanya - In type 1, you can do it however you want. In the second option, you post the whole speech. Usually there are word limits on online debating, but that's up to the debaters....
Vinny - you can sign up for debates when we gather some ideas together...

Okay! Thanks Jenni.. I have one more question that if we sign up for the debate right now, then how much time will we get to write one to post?
Jenni wrote: "Once everyone has been decided for teams, we can choose the set time for everyone..."Okay :))
I am thinking about it, but all of us must be of different age groups, so we have to think about the topics keeping in my mind this factor or we can ignore it?
Yeah, just put a cap on it if it is inappropriate. I don't know anyone younger than me in this group currently so we're fine...

1 = Unstructured debate between 2 people or between the entire group. Can last as long as it wants to be.
2 = This type of debate is more structured. The format of speakers is:
First speaker Proposition
First speaker Opposition
Second speaker Proposition
Second speaker Opposition
Open to the floor
Third speaker Opposition
Third Speaker Proposition
Proposition always starts and ends the debate. As you can see, there are 6 speakers so before the debate, you will form 2 teams of 3.
Timings for the debate:
As we cannot meet in real life, every speaker will have up to 3 days to post their speech. If they cannot, the debate continues to the next speaker.
Open to the floor:
When the debate is open to the floor, anyone in the group can pose a question to either side. This is then responded to, with a 5 day limit.
Feedback will be posted after the debate
Note - times can be adjusted according to the debaters preferences.
We will begin putting debates up for both types of debate, so feel free to sign up!
